Einstein and Ramana Maharshi on Free Will

There are two new videos on youTube from "my" talk at the Science and NonDuality Conference in San Rafael, CA in October. You can find them by putting "Gary Weber" in the youTube search box. The titles are:

"Gary Weber - Intelligent Choice is Impossible" (Employs contemporary genetics, complex systems mathematics, and cognitive neuroscience studies to demonstrate that intelligent, meaningful, conscious choice is impossible and is an illusion.),

"Gary Weber - You Are Not In Control" (Employs Bhagavad Gita, thought experiments, gedanken, and examples from everyday life to demonstrate that it is impossible to be in control of what happens in your life and that concepts like sin and karma have no real validity.)

A hundred gasshos (Zen bows) to Stephen Tuttle for his brilliant work on making these "youTube ready". The originals required much rework to make them compatible.

  1. Very happy to see Ramana Maharshi and Einstein!

Ramana Maharshi was asked one question in tamil....

    Vithiya !!? .... Or Mathiya!!?

Vithi : Some one(super power) plans and controls every thing...

Mathi: We do our karma by our own free will (wish)

    Ramana Maharshi replied.......!

In a Radio station a recorded cassette is telecast ed ...

Two persons are arguing and fighting with each other!

No : 1 In radio station the singer is controlled by the station superiors.

No : 2 In radio station the singer is singing songs according to his will (Wish!)

    Could you understand Maharshi's answer.

It is neither vithi nor mathi!?

But everything (means space , matter, and time(all the eternal activities)) are imbibed with one another))
any thing can come out of it from the one and the game is done(Drama) then ir reabsorbs into the oneness.

    1. Hi Jeyavelmurgunan.

As the summary short paragraph says, it all comes out of the One and when its work is done, is reabsorbs back into the Oneness. There is no time it is not vithi, and mathi is just an illusion of free will, not the reality, whether action manifests or not, it is not under the control of the mathi.
