A close friend of mine, who has cancer, is interested in Mind-Body medicine, and is on the BOD of the Penn State Mind/Body Institute. At his request, i joined him on a trip (he had been there before) to western MA to experience the "Lightfield" @ the Lightfield Foundation.
i had two sessions in an earlier version of this technology, called the "Flo(w)-Bed" which is installed @ Penn State under the auspices of the Mind/Body Institute. As i had little to report in the way of "experiences", beyond a brief, warm, pulling sensation in my heart, which does have a small valve problem, i was skeptical that the "Lightfield" would be any different. The Flo-Bed had been just a peaceful half hour or so w/ pleasant new age music as a background.
The Lightfield, pictured above, was, for me, a completely different matter. During my first 45 minute session i was only externally aware of pleasant music while lying on a comfortable platform "bed" which had been cranked into the the "egg" (my terminology). After about 10 minutes, i felt like i had on a white polyester "snow suit" about an inch thick that surrounded my arms and legs. This sensation persisted for 15 to 20 minutes followed by a feeling of waves of energy coming down over my shoulders and upper chest. This was all pleasant and was not like anything i had experienced before in this way.
Following the session, i stood in/on a device called "Grace", which beamed light up from below my feet through a glass plate on which i was standing. The "snow suit" expanded enormously and became diffuse.
My second session was also eventful but different. i decided to try a chakra sequence exercise that i frequently do. i do the mudras, yantras, Sanskrit characters, and bija mantras for each chakra in sequence from bottom to top. When i did this in the Lightfield, every chakra expanded enormously out beyond the physical body, something that was also a new phenomena in how it manifested.
i reported all of this to the creator of Lightfield, Mark Newkirk and the operator, Jim Puder, and they nodded with a "it's different for everyone". Mark had a name for the waves of energy; i do not remember the term he used. i do not know what it means, or how it happened, but i was no longer a skeptic.
my friend simply fell asleep during both of his sessions and consequently had nothing to report, which doesn't mean that nothing happened to his body/mind. He did look and act enormously energized and refreshed.
During the next week several "what is the next step?" places were solved/removed in an important "ritual" that i do, like the key to the next step of the "Da Vinci" code of that practice. i have no idea if that was due to the Lightfield or not; i last got two major "keys" to the ritual in India last year at about this time.
There is much about the creation, continuing evolution and operation of the Lightfield and the Flo-Bed that are highly controversial involving sacred shapes, magic metals, Russian scientists, unmeasurable torsion fields and "downloaded" improvements from the Universe.
The theory behind it, as given by Mark Newkirk, is that we are each surrounded by an "information field" that can be made more coherent by the Lightfield, yielding all sorts of improvements in body/mind. There are many books and different music CDs recommended on their website from many sources, many of which are clearly fringy and "new age", which doesn't mean they are incorrect, just outside of conventional science.
i definitely plan to return for more sessions, which are free. i would strongly recommend that if you are in western MA, that you contact the folks @ Lightfield and schedule an appointment and see what experiences you have. Let me know if you do and what your results are.
I'm not sure how I got to the Lightfield site. I watched the video on the New Realities site with Alan Steinfield. Do you feel that this aligned you with your higher self and are now able "receive" better now because of this?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Brother Tom
Brother Tom:
ReplyDeletei can't really be certain that i am better aligned w/higher self b/c of the Lightfield. The experiences i discussed in the blog were what i recalled; there were no clear differences apparent later.
However, i have been practicing so long, have done many different practices and for well over 30,000 hrs, it is really hard to do a "this alone made that difference" conclusion w/much confidence.
my practices now change everyday, as i just allow them to manifest as they manifest and go w/them. many things change, it is just not possible to parse something out.
As the Universe would have it, my friend who was with me on the trip and trying to deal w/pancreatic cancer, which turned into liver cancer, passed a few weeks ago. i draw no conclusion re the Lightfield on that basis; his situation, like mine, had many factors and effects.
